Professor Nicola Andrew

Academic Development and Student Learning

Prior to leaving the University, Professor Andrew held the roles of Head of Academic Quality and Professor of Learning and Teaching (Education Research and Evaluation).

The main purpose of the first role was to ensure the provision of an effective and professional service to develop and support the Academic Quality functions of the University, including QAA expectations around student engagement with Academic Quality.

The main purpose of the latter role was to lead research and evaluation activity and projects in keeping with the GCU Educational Research strategy and in collaboration with research colleagues across the University. This included leading and engaging in educational research, impact evaluation and research related activities; producing research publications of national/international quality and contributing to a national and international profile on educational research including leadership in this area across GCU.
