Mandy Sheridan

Senior Lecturer in Fashion and Marketing

Mandy is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing within the Department of Fashion, Marketing, Tourism & Events and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Mandy teaches in the field of Marketing Planning & Strategy at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. As Postgraduate Programme Portfolio Lead in the Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) she is responsible for leading and supporting developments across all GSBS postgraduate programmes.

With a passion for new technologies and experiential learning in teaching practice, Mandy has been instrumental in the design and implementation of a fashion marketing simulation, as well as a digital marketing simulation in the area of Strategic Marketing Planning.  She was also instrumental in developing an online pre-induction course “Getting Started @ GCU” for all undergraduate students transitioning into University for the first time.

Mandy is working towards a Professional Doctorate in the area of self-regulation in assessed group work and contributes to scholarship projects and research on the learning process.

Previous to academia, Mandy fulfilled Marketing Management and Category Buying roles across various industries. This industry experience heavily informs her teaching and supports students in developing strategic marketing skills which hold currency in the workplace today.
