Dr Lynne Watson

Lynne is a Lecturer in Vision Sciences and a registered optometrist. Lynne graduated with a first-class degree in Optometry from GCU in 2007 and, after completing a pre-registration training year, qualified as an optometrist in 2008.

After working for a time in private practice, Lynne returned to GCU and completed a PhD entitled “New methods and tools for improving the contrast sensitivity of people with central visual impairment using temporal image modulations” in 2013.

Shortly after completing her PhD, Lynne took up a post as Lecturer in Vision Sciences at GCU. She is currently the Module Lead of both the Clinical Studies and Optometric Clinical Competence and Experience undergraduate modules.

Lynne is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
