Lucy graduated as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 2003 from the University of Liverpool. She worked clinically within the NHS in London for nine years, first at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospitals and then as specialist Neuroradiographer at King’s College Hospital and the Institute of Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital.
She has over 10 years’ experience of teaching in Higher Education and was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2012. She also holds a master's degree with distinction in Advanced Neuroimaging from the Institute of Neurology, University College London.
Lucy’s specialist interest lies within projectional radiography, trauma imaging, CT, and neuro MRI and she is passionate about improving the patient’s experience in radiology.
Lucy joined GCU in January 2022 and contributes to a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning across the School of Health and Life Sciences.
