Kevin joined the Yunus Centre in October 2019.

Kevin graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with an MA in Public History. His interests are public engagement with the process of representing community historical narratives in public spaces. He is also interested in ways historians can become more active in social and community based projects.

Kevin's PhD is entitled ‘Roots, Revivals and Reinventions: A Regional History of Community Business in Britain since the 1970s.’ The key aims of his research is to draw together several related strands of research to from a more focused historical analysis of how specific regional assets as well as identities have shaped the development of community business in post industrial areas of England and Scotland. Kevin is working closely with his supervisory team, Janet Greenlees and Gillian Murray, as well as partnering with Power to Change, who are co-funding this project.
