Jackie has been a lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University since 2008, and is currently Programme Lead for BSc. (Hons) Podiatry. His special interests include neurological disease, the use of local anaesthesia in podiatric practice and the management of high risk patients. He has conducted research in anatomical function, diabetes education and the use of various technologies to support student learning. Jackie has been a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow) since 2012, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2014.
