Dr Funmilayo B. Offiong

Department of EngineeringDr Funmilayo B. Offiong, a Lecturer in the School of Science and Engineering, joined Glasgow Caledonian University in 2023. She is a member of the Smart Connectivity and Sensing (SCaS) and Robotics for the Common Good research groups.
Her research focuses on signal processing in optical and radio frequency (RF) communications, sensing in the optical domain using LEDs, analytical framework development in optical communication, and the application of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in Internet of Things (IoT) networks.
Additionally, she is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Dr Offiong holds a teaching certification from the Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
