PhD by Previous Publication: Academically Centred Paradigm for Optimum Student Retention and Success
The work reported and the ideas presented in this PhD by previously published works are put forward based on well over 10 years of research activity. The driving force for this research was a desire to implement methods and initiatives that would improve Higher Education (HE) student progression, retention, degree completion and student satisfaction with their learning experience. This PhD will report on the resulting coherent longitudinal research study providing a unique insight into the design, development, evaluation and maturation of an innovative model of the optimised student experience. This model was both proactive and responsive and has evolved dynamically over an extended period of time contributing to a paradigm shift in the HE sector in both the understanding and the enhancement of the student experience.
