Dr Dharminder Singh
Lecturer
Department of EngineeringDr Dharminder Singh is a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering. Dr Singh teaches in the field of Mechanical Engineering, covering all aspects of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and engineering design and analysis at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. He is also the Programme Leader for MSc Mechanical Engineering.
Dr Singh completed his PhD in 2017 at Glasgow Caledonian University, which focused on using Discrete Element Method to model the breakage of particles.
Before joining Glasgow Caledonian as a Lecturer, Dharminder worked as a Research and Development Engineer on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between the University of Huddersfield and Trillium Flow Technologies where he conducted research on the condition monitoring of control valves and the development of Smart valves.
Dharminder’s research interests are in the CFD modelling of flow handling equipment and the application of machine learning for fluid dynamics problems.
