My research is concerned with public viewpoints on a Universal Basic Income in Scotland. In particular, I am focussed on the ideological perspectives which underpin various combinations of a basic income and which combination is best suited to the Scottish public’s perspectives. This research is timely given that four Scottish local authorities are currently exploring the possibility of piloting a basic income. My research engages with Q methodology and stated preference techniques.
