Lecturer/Clinical Supervisor/Registered Optometrist

Brian is a Lecturer/Clinical Supervisor in the Vision Sciences department and also a practising Optometrist, providing services to NHS and private patients in Optometric practice.

Brian graduated from Glasgow Caledonian with a BSc(Hons) Optometry in 2000. After completing his pre-registration year, he has worked in Optometric practice for approximately 20+yrs, undertaking a number of different roles. Brian completed the College of Optometrists Diploma in Therapeutics (Independent Prescribing) at GCU in 2018.

Brian returned initially to GCU, as a clinical supervisor, covering third-year Optometry clinics from 2008. In 2022, he accepted a role as Lecturer/Clinical Supervisor in the Vision Sciences department.

Future research interests may include myopic development, Anterior eye and OCT.
