Annelysse holds a Bachelor of Science with majors in Anatomy and Histology, and Neuroscience, and a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney, Australia. Since graduating, Annelysse worked for a clinical research organisation in patient safety, and has been a class tutor for the Sydney University Masters subject, Global Communicable Disease Control. Her passion for global health led her to undertake an internship with the World Federation of Public Health Associations in Geneva at the beginning of 2017, before joining the Safeguarding Health through Infection Prevention (SHIP) research group as a full-time PhD student. Her interests lie in the fields of infection control, and more broadly communicable diseases, and implementation research for health systems strengthening.

Current research:
Annelysse’s research will contribute to our knowledge of implementation of global infection prevention and control guidelines and their national level recommendations in healthcare management and administration.
