Anna joined the Yunus Centre as a PhD student in October 2021. Her research examines the applicability of the Capability Approach to the implementation and measurement of the 'Wellbeing Economy' in Scotland. Carried out in collaboration with Glasgow City Council, this research specifically focuses on the application of the capability approach in Glasgow. The PhD is jointly supervised by Dr Karen Lorimer and Professor Michael Roy.

Anna holds an undergraduate honours degree in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Glasgow and a master’s degree in Social Business and Microfinance from Glasgow Caledonian University. Her master’s research focused on bridging the gap between business sustainability policy and practice in Scotland. Prior to her PhD, Anna worked in a range of settings in the public, private and third sectors in Scotland, Germany and Colombia, gaining experience in the field of policy, community development and community wealth building.
