Lecturer

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Adam Craig is a lecturer in Audio Systems Engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Audio Technology in 2011, Adam went on to embark on a PhD in 2012 concentrating his research on using advanced audio technology for the creation of environmental sound maps. This resulted in the creation of an online map with an accompanying mobile phone application to allow the public to openly view and contribute to the research. His main research interests are the perception of urban and rural soundscapes, spatial audio techniques, and signal processing. He is currently a member of the Institute of Acoustics, the Audio Engineering Society, IEEE, and the IET. Out with his academic activities at the university, Adam also teaches sound engineering to high-school students within his local education authority.
