Researcher development
Researcher Development, part of Research Knowledge and Exchange Services (RKES), delivers a comprehensive programme of resources, workshops and guidance to support the development of research capability alongside personal and professional growth.
Provision is informed by the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF), which underpins progression throughout research study and career pathways. The framework supports the development and articulation of the knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with effective researchers, while providing a structured approach to planning ongoing development.
Further information on Researcher Development, including details of workshop provision and opportunities delivered in partnership with external collaborators, is available via the Researcher Development webpages.
The GCU Academic Writing Centre supports self-directed academic writing through a range of facilitated initiatives. These include the GCU Power Hour of Writing and Power Hour Days of Writing, which are designed to support effective use of time and to foster a supportive and inclusive research and writing community.
