What you will study
The training will expose participants to the enormous opportunities these analytical tools present for managers in sectors facing significant risk and uncertainty. It presents a comprehensive approach to dealing with risk-based decision making within the context of project analysis and evaluation.
In this 10-week fully-funded module, students will explore how to use decision trees and probabilistic models to form a balanced picture of the risks and rewards associated with complex strategic decisions. We also cover the primary methods for dealing with risks and uncertainty, including sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and decision analysis.
The workshop will also cover:
Fundamentals of Risk Assessment.
Probabilistic Modelling as Exploratory Decision-Making Tools.
Project Analysis and Evaluation Methods.
Modelling Risk and Uncertainties Using Probability Distributions.
