Why did you choose GCU?
Great course criteria, perfectly located city-centre campus, opportunity to experience Erasmus exchange programme or a work placement year.
How would you describe your experience at GCU?
Lots of fun, I met so many amazing like-minded people, widening my network and some who will be friends for life! The Erasmus experience was one of the best years of my life and my degree has opened so many doors for me in my career path. I honestly wish I could do my time at GCU all over again.
What are your fondest memories of GCU?
Erasmus exchange at University of Alicante, the two Enactus balls that I attended, a project that we arranged for a social cause where we organised and held a pub quiz night in aid of the Beatson Cancer Charity.
How would you describe the quality of the teaching and support you received from GCU?
The lecturers and teaching staff were all amazing! I also really enjoyed some of the guest speakers we had over the years. I have kept in contact with some staff and guest speakers via LinkedIn.
Can you tell us how you coped with the transition to online learning during the pandemic?
I graduated in Summer 2020 so only had a couple of months of online learning. This was during the critical months towards the end of writing my dissertation and other important coursework! I feel like it was a bit daunting at first but the extra support from staff and other students helped me to cope so well and I managed to come out with the results I’d hoped for in the end :)
