Diagnosed with heart failure at the age of 39, Dr Nick Hartshorne-Evans BEM went on to establish the country’s only nationwide support network run by and for patients. Under his leadership, the Foundation has grown into a globally recognised voice for those living with heart failure, providing patient‑driven insights to health systems in the UK and internationally. His work includes co‑developing the BEAT HF national awareness campaign and contributing to major policy and clinical guidance initiatives across Europe and the UK.
