Jim is a global leader in business and entrepreneurship, as former CEO of Volvo Cars and Dyson, and former COO of Blackberry.

Volvo is a world leader in the premium automotive industry and next-generation electric mobility sector, and under Jim’s leadership, delivered record results in terms of revenue and profits while also developing the core technologies and capabilities that will drive the company towards future success.

Prior to this role, he served as the CEO of Dyson from 2012 to 2020. During his tenure, Jim delivered record results year over year, while rapidly expanding the company’s supply chain, engineering, and digital commerce capabilities. He also oversaw the launch of an unparalleled suite of new Dyson innovations, allowing the company to successfully enter new industries.

Jim built his career from the production floor, starting as an engineering apprentice while attending college. Additionally, he has founded two highly successful start-ups, which he established, scaled, and later sold at a premium.
