Funded opportunities to employ a Graduate Intern
GCU is offering employers the opportunity to employ a GCU Graduate Intern, with 50% of their salary subsidised by our Graduate Internship Fund. This provides an affordable way for companies to benefit from the skills and talent of a new graduate to deliver a fixed term project.
As part of GCU’s award-winning MINT (Mentoring, Internships, Networking and Talks) Programme, the Internships Programme was established in 2020 thanks to support from Sir Alex Ferguson CBE. Giving GCU graduates the best possible chance to enhance their employability, they gain relevant industry experience to strengthen their long term career prospects.
Employer Guidelines:
- Open to SMEs, charities and organisations where GCU alumni are currently employed.
- Internships to be approximately 12 weeks in duration with the intern working on a full-time or part-time basis. (Full-time position based on a 35-hour week).
- The Graduate Internship Fund provides 50% of the intern’s salary (capped at £1,920), with the remaining cost to be met by the company employing the intern.
- Intern salaries to be in line with the UK living wage.
- Internship opportunities open to 2021 and 2022 GCU graduates.
