Chidozie Nwaigwe

2022 Magnusson Award winner

GCU student and 2022 Magnusson Award winner, Chidozie, used his Magnusson Award to construct a 24-hour central dispensing site, to provide free, clean water for his home community in Nigeria, which suffers water-borne diseases as a result of a lack of potable water. Chidozie used solar-powered technology to create the site.

It is an ecstatic feeling to know that through the Magnusson Fund, I will be realising my long-held dream of providing free potable water for my rural community in Isiala Mbano, Imo State, Nigeria. This vision is borne out of the love and compassion I have for my people, and their general well-being. My profound gratitude goes to the GCU and the Magnusson team, for birthing this noble funding initiative and touching lives all across the Earth, through its many acts of magnanimity. Thank you!
