Turner and Townsend

Turner & Townsend became the first 150th Anniversary campaign corporate partner in January 2026, generously supporting a programme of ten new scholarships totalling £82,500.

The Global Professional Services company was motivated help widen access to education supporting students from diverse backgrounds including those who care experienced or estranged.

Turner & Townsend scholars will benefit from GCU’s sector-leading anniversary scholarships, aligned to their chosen programmes of BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and BA (Hons) Risk Management, providing financial support, dedicated mentoring, an internship bursary and a guaranteed travel opportunity - equipping students with the academic and professional experiences needed to thrive as future industry leaders.

Peter McGettrick, UK Operations Lead at Turner & Townsend and GCU alumnus, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Glasgow Caledonian University to create fantastic opportunities for young people to forge pathways in the sector and break down societal barriers. Investing in skills is a central value for us at Turner & Townsend, as the industry works to overcome the shortage it faces today and create a dynamic workforce built for success in the long term.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how these scholarships, together with the 150th Anniversary Campaign can support the next generation of leaders who will go on to transform industry and society.”
