Aim

The project's primary goal is to provide individuals from multiple deprived areas in Glasgow and of ethnic minority backgrounds with the right skill set to access employment in the financial service sector.

Summary

The Financial Services, Education and Mentorship Hub seeks to reduce the gender, socioeconomic and ethnic minority talent gap within the financial services sector by providing individuals from multiple deprived areas with the right skills and knowledge to compete within the sector. Through providing a free Mentoring, Internship, Networking and Training (MINT) initiative, the project enables individuals to increase their financial literacy and skills in financial risk management, application of big data analytics, financial assets valuation and wealth management. The project enables talented people to start their journey in the financial service sector – a sector with traditionally low representation of women, particularly from ethnic minority groups.

What difference does it make?

The project provides holistic training and expert mentorship for people of deprived communities and of minority ethnic background to enable them accessing employment in the financial service sector.
