Aim

To help low-income households in Angus Council who were disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and/or the cost-of-living crisis.

Summary

The Angus Cost of Living Road Shows project offered support to the most vulnerable individuals residing in the Angus Council region and helped them to access help and support for their financial difficulties. The project supported low-income households who were disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. This was done by establishing positive relationships between the community and support services, and also by informing individuals of the help available to them that they may not otherwise be aware of. The Road Shows took place in central areas, as allowing greater accessibility is key to furthering engagement.

What difference does it make?

The Angus Cost of Living Road Shows project had a positive impact on the local community, as it informed citizens of ways to maximise their income and reduce living costs. This in turn helped to alleviate the financial implications of COVID-19 and the cost-of-living crisis.
