David Phillips

David is a Lecturer in the Department of Applied Science in the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment. David studied an MSci in Chemistry and Mathematics and PhD in Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. He completed his PhD in 2017 under the supervision of Dr David France. This focused on the development of new palladium-catalysed carbon–carbon bond forming reactions. David then carried out postdoctoral work under Prof. Graeme Cooke working on ozone sensitive dyes and organic dye sensitised solar cells. David moved to the University of Dundee in March 2021 where he worked in the Drug Discovery Unit. David then joined Glasgow Caledonian University as a Lecturer in Chemistry in September 2022.
