MSc Professional Accountancy (ACCA route )
This degree is aimed at students who have completed the ACCA applied knowledge and applied skills papers or have exemptions from these nine exams from an ACCA accredited degree course. The masters course aligns with the ACCA Strategic Professional exams, allowing you to sit your ACCA exams at the end of each module. On successful completion of the degree you will be equipped with a range of employability skills required of the professional accountant in a global business environment, such as critical awareness of issues involved in leading and managing the financial aspects of organisations. By doing so, it will prepare you for the demands placed upon the manager within the contemporary business environment. You will also have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate your ability to undertake independent research focusing on a business problem relevant to your area of interest.
The degree will also provide a good foundation if you are wishing to further your academic studies leading to PhD level.
Graduate prospects
On completion of the degree you will be fully exam qualified with ACCA and have an MSc Professional Accountancy. Not only will this degree set you apart from other graduates with a dual recognition qualification, you will also have the skills required to move into management roles within private or public sector.

Typical entry requirements
Students will need to have completed the ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams or have exemptions from these exams from an accredited degree course.Students will need to have a minimum of a 2:2 or equivalent if they have received exemptions from an accredited degree course.

English Language
Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5.
Please note: if you are from a majority English speaking country, you may not be required to provide further proof of your English Language proficiency.

Other academic and vocational qualifications
Each application to GCU is considered on an individual basis. If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to enter this course via the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.
