Tony is a lecturer in Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University. He has enjoyed a career including a wide range of quantity surveying and management roles, both in education and industry. Some of his past appointments include Head of Department of Building & Civil Engineering at Bell College, Regional Construction Manager for Syncro Limited and Senior Surveyor at Melville Dundas Ltd. Tony also worked as a full-time secondary school teacher for 6 years, teaching French and Craft, Design and Technology. He is a past-examiner for the Chartered Institute of Building at Direct Member level in Contract Financial Analysis and Cost Management. He is also past-chairman of the West of Scotland Centre of the Chartered Institute of Building and has been a CIOB professional interview panel member/chairman on a number of occasions.
