Symela Charalampidou

Department of Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and EventsSymela Charalampidou is a PhD student in the Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and Events department at GCU. Before joining the University, she had a two-decade career in the accounting and finance sector.
She has completed three postgraduate programmes: an MSc in Banking Accounting, an MSc (Econ) in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Social and Solidarity Economy.
During the last decade, she has worked in a charitable sector organisation as a Finance Officer, and she is part of the RCCG CSR Developer team, which explores the construction of CSR reports within small and medium charitable organisations.
Her current thesis is led by the conviction that the synergy of different and diverse economic sectors can escalate the impact on business responsibilities.
