Project title: Green Infrastructure assessment to manage urban overheating risk
The project will develop a Green infrastructure (GI) conceptual framework to target, plan and deliver urban environmental benefits (in terms of urban heat stress/overheating risk reduction) for Glasgow city. The GI framework will be centred on climate change, building Energy use, carbon emission and outdoor thermal comfort. The methodological steps will include the evaluation of Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect, pitfalls in existing land use layout, and evaluate the relative efficiency of various GI strategies on the elements that form the GI conceptual framework.
