Sherif Dabour is a Researcher-1A at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) with extensive experience in electrical power engineering and industrial electronics. He is an expert in PWM techniques, power electronics converter topologies, and their applications in wind turbines conversion systems, PV systems, storage systems, micro-grids, electric vehicle chargers, and energy storage integration.

Dr. Dabour has published over 55 international journal and conference papers and has contributed to research projects funded by the European Commission, the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and the Qatar National Research Foundation. His work has made significant contributions to the advancement of power electronics and his expertise has been recognized by prestigious organizations. He has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to his field and was endorsed by the UK Royal Academy of Engineering as a Global Talent researcher on power electronics.

In addition to his work at GCU, Dr. Dabour is an Associate Professor at Tanta University (TU) and served as editor of the Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, and Electric Drives Research Labs at TU from 2015 to 2021. He is a senior member of IEEE and serves as Treasurer of IEEE's Egypt chapter of the Power Electronics Society (PELS). Dr. Dabour also a guest editor at Energies and reviewer at several prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions Industrial Electronics, and IET Power Applications.
