School of Health and Life Sciences

Dr Ross Kincaid is a Research Fellow and a member of the university’s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus research group.

Ross is the Lead Researcher on the Scottish-Government-funded ePrEP Clinic research programme, in which he works with clinicians, community partners and health economists. They aim to develop, evaluate and implement an online clinical care pathway for HIV prevention medication (PrEP) provision within the NHS. This work is a key part of the national HIV transmission elimination strategy and a continuation of Ross’ doctoral research.

Ross’ background is in health psychology. He is particularly interested in how people access and navigate health services, the factors that affect if and how people access care, and how to support intervention adoption, implementation and use.

Ross has also contributed to national audits of HIV partner notification outcomes through the British HIV Association (BHIVA) and the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).
