Dr Rosalind Rice-Stevenson

Dr Rosalind Rice-Stevenson is an educator with both home (Scotland) and overseas (UAE) experience. With extensive involvement in higher education in both academic and vocational environments, Ros has enjoyed a varied career with positions including people manager, relationship builder, programme co-coordinator, lecturer, senior lecturer, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, online learning facilitator, academic advisor, dissertation supervisor, and mentor.

Having worked internationally, in a variety of academic roles, within a multi-cultural environment, Rosalind is comfortable in a variety of contexts and has taught a wide range of subject areas – business management, E-business, human resources, applied business, applied technology skills, design thinking, and entrepreneurship.

Rosalind has entrepreneurial experience best demonstrated when, in March 2020, she became a founding member of a group of four professionals offering facilitated virtual writing retreats - providing an online framework within which individuals engaged with self-directed writing projects while benefitting from being part of a community of writers.

Her published work to date has focused on the importance of the employability of Business Management graduates. Rosalind’s interests are now moving into the business education field.

Her current research project is a collaboration exploring the role of the academic mentor within the real-world environment of work.
