Department of Social WorkPeter has a practice background as a registered Social Worker in child protection and has been teaching social work in higher education since 2009. He has an international profile and reputation for research and scholarship in the field of sibling sexual abuse and harmful sexual behaviour by children and young people.
Peter is Co-chair of the Child Sexual Abuse Special Interest Group (Association for Child Protection Professionals), is a member of the editorial board for Child Abuse Review, and sits on the executive for NOTA (Scotland).
He has extensive experience of course and programme development, design, delivery and administration at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate study. This includes master's supervision and PhD supervision and examination.
