Nick Bibby

Nick Bibby FAcSS is Research Excellence Manage for Glasgow Caledonian University and is based in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Services directorate. Nick is responsible for driving forward the university’s submission to the Research Excellence Framework and for applying the lessons gained in the REF process to GCU’s research practice.

Nick has a background at the interface of academic research and public policy and previously founded the Scottish Policy & Research Exchange (SPRE). He started his career in higher education at the University of Edinburgh, working in knowledge mobilisation in the School of Social and Political Sciences and, prior to that role, he worked as a journalist. His experience draws together different themes within research management including research communication, engagement, impact and excellence.
