I'm a PhD student working with the Musculoskeletal Health research group. My research is focused on the biomechanics of midfoot Charcot neuroarthropathy in diabetes. I work in the Human Performance Lab using motion capture, electromyography and pressure analyses. During my PhD I have also had the opportunity through a strategic partnership to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team within Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics at NHS Lanarkshire. I help to run a clinic at the GCU Human Performance Lab carrying out biomechanical assessments on pre- and post-surgical referrals covering a variety of complex lower limb conditions including diabetic foot disease, rheumatoid arthritis and congenital deformities.
