PhD Research Student

Graduated with a BSc in Pharmaceutical Science from Misurata University, Libya, in 2015. Subsequently, worked in Misrata Medical Center as a pharmacist in 2016/2017. Then decided to continue my studies in the UK, I graduated with an MSc in Pharmacology from Glasgow Caledonian University with Distinction in 2018. My research was focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying cannabinoid-mediated modulation of pain and their relationship with opioids.

I started my PhD in 2019, I’m interested in the molecular connections between Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Nrf2 protein. In particular, my study is focused on investigating the use of Keap1-Nrf2 Protein-Protein disruptors in protecting human neurons in AD.
