Learning Development Centre (SSE)Melanie is an Academic Development Tutor for the Learning Development Centre based in the School of Science and Engineering.
She has a specialist background in English language teaching, academic writing and language support for international students, and module leadership and curriculum development across the UK, Southeast Asia and mainland Europe.
Her recent work has included opportunities to internationalise the academic writing curriculum and promote the enhancement of study and power skills. Melanie has a particular interest in fostering cross-cultural competencies, promoting inclusivity for international students, and advancing student engagement within the wider learning experience.
