Marianne is Project Manager for the Innovation3 Exchange (I3E), a Scottish Funding Council-funded partnership between Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of Glasgow. She joined Glasgow Caledonian University in February 2026 and leads the planning, delivery, and governance of the programme, collaborating with colleagues across both universities to develop shared approaches to innovation support, entrepreneurship, and research commercialisation.
Marianne has a multidisciplinary background spanning academic research, clinical practice, project and programme management, and technology commercialisation. She holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and is a PRINCE2®-certified Project Manager. Her experience includes leading digital pathology projects for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as serving as Programme Manager for a Unilever spin-out company, where she supported the commercialisation of a novel anti-biofilm technology.
