Margie is an experienced lecturer in Marketing and Consumer Behaviour. She is committed to supporting and enhancing the student experience and respects and responds to the different needs of all learners. Margie is also an experienced staff mentor and part of the University mentoring team. She is a firm believer in the power of strong, progressive working and personal relationships as the foundation for success.

Margie teaches Consumer Behaviour, Contemporary Issues in International Marketing, Global Marketing Management and Social Marketing to undergraduate students, and leads the module Social Marketing for Modern Society. She also leads the FMTE Work Placement Experience module, co-ordinating placements for students from the Marketing, Fashion and Events programmes. Margie supervises both undergraduate and post graduate dissertations. She is the department Academic Disability Co-ordinator; the principal academic point of contact between disabled students, applicants, potential applicants, and the Disability Service and academic staff within the Department.

As a member of the department research group she takes part in research projects related to consumer lifestyles and experiences. She also organises an annual international study trip for fashion students. Previously she was Leader of Retail Marketing and Marketing undergraduate programmes and has extensive experience in programme development and delivery. Margie is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
