Dr Malawi Ngwira - is the programme leader for the BSc (Hons) Property Management and Valuation programme. Malawi has worked as a Chartered Valuation Surveyor (MRICS) for a number of leading organisations both in Scotland and England specialising in Real Estate Valuations of both commercial and residential subjects for a variety of purposes including acquisition, disposal, rental, development, taxation, financial statements; Property Asset Management. He joined the School in 2008 and lectures on both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, BSc (Hon) Property Management & Valuation and MSc Real Estate Management, respectively.
His specialist areas in which he lectures include property asset management; techniques for valuing, appraising and managing commercial real estate investment portfolios; statutory valuations including valuations for taxation, compulsory purchase and compensation; valuations for financial statements; and principles of infrastructure asset management especially as they apply to the built environment of public sector.
