Lynn joined GCU in 2015 as a Nurse Researcher working on several projects within the Safeguarding Health through Infection Prevention (SHIP) Research Group, including a systematic review for the World Health Organisation. Since 2018, Lynn has worked as a Trial/Data Coordinator within the Ageing Well Research Group, specifically on the multi-centre NIHR funded trials TOPSY (Treatment Of Prolapse with Self-care pessarY), CADET (Multicentre Trial of the clinical and cost-effectiveness of a novel urinary catheter design in reducing catheter-associated urinary tract infection compared with the traditional Foley design for adults requiring long-term catheterization) and currently PEPPY (Prolapse management: Effectiveness of PFMT plus PessarY).
Lynn previously worked as a Project Manager for a large scale multisite clinical trial and as a Senior Research Nurse for 6 years within the NHS, gaining lots of experience in both commercial clinical trials and academic research.
Since 2007 Lynn has been a registered nurse, beginning her nursing career within General & Plastic Surgery. Prior to this, Lynn worked at the University of Glasgow as an Immunologist within the Institute of Biomedical & Life Sciences.
Lynn’s research interests are in women’s health, infection prevention and control and trial methodologies.
