Senior Clinical Research Governance Manager

Research and Knowledge Exchange Services

Lyndsay McDade is the Research Governance Manager within Research and Knowledge Exchange Services (RKES) at Glasgow Caledonian University and joined the University in 2019. She supports the development and delivery of research governance, ethics and integrity processes, providing advice and guidance to researchers and colleagues on regulatory requirements, good research practice and ethical review procedures.

Lyndsay has experience in higher education research governance and professional services, as well as NHS clinical research governance, with expertise in compliance and quality assurance contributing to the development and enhancement of research systems, processes and guidance.

Prior to her current role, Lyndsay worked as a Clinical Trial Monitor with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, where she gained extensive experience in clinical research governance, ethical approvals, regulatory compliance and research monitoring. She has worked collaboratively with researchers, academic committees and external stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality, ethically responsible research.

Lyndsay is passionate about strengthening research integrity and developing governance approaches that enable researchers to deliver impactful research while maintaining robust standards of quality, accountability and compliance.
