Department of Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and EventsLeony joined GCU as Fashion Studio Lead in 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in fashion education, garment production, and technical support. In this role, Leony oversees the day-to-day running of three fashion studios and manages the Fashion Technicians, ensuring students have access to high-quality technical instruction and resources.
Before joining GCU, Leony worked at Heriot-Watt University and Glasgow School of Art, delivering workshops in garment production, and pattern cutting. With experience supporting large cohorts and managing studio operations, she has developed a strong expertise in technical teaching and student support.
Leony has also developed her own sustainable fashion label specialising in handmade-to-order designs. This industry experience informs Leony's teaching, providing students with insight into contemporary fashion practices, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
Passionate about inclusive and innovative fashion education, Leony is committed to equipping students with the technical skills and creative confidence to thrive in the industry.
