An alumnus of Glasgow Caledonian, graduating in 2010 as a Mental Health Nurse, Joanna went on to work in various clinical settings across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (South Area) and NHS Ayrshire and Arran. She have experience working within Adult Inpatient and Community settings, Older Adult Inpatient and Community settings and Liaison Psychiatry in Acute Hospitals.

Before joining Glasgow Caledonian as a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing in November 2022, she worked as a Nurse Team Leader in an Older Adult CMHT.
