Dr Kendra Meyer joined GCU as Lecturer in Applied Forensic Psychology in 2025 and teaches across the MSc Forensic Psychology and BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology courses. She is module leader for The Psychology of Criminal Behaviour on the MSc Forensic Psychology programme. Kendra’s research interests include the factors influencing eyewitness testimony; specifically, the gestural misinformation effect; as well as the influence of gender typicality of offenders on eyewitness accuracy and perception of guilt and the underlying factors of hybristophilia and attitudes towards female sex offenders. Her methodological expertise is in quantitative methods including experimental design and psychometric analysis.

Kendra was awarded her PhD in Psychology from the University of Sheffield, her MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Bedfordshire, her MPhil in Criminological Research from Cambridge University and her BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Criminal Behaviour from the University of Bedfordshire. Kendra holds the BPS recognition of Chartered Psychologist and a fellowship of the higher education academy (FHEA).

Prior to joining GCU, Kendra worked as a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Kingston and University of Brighton, and as a visiting Lecturer at the University of Sunderland and the University of Bedfordshire. She has also undertaken research assistant roles, including for the University of Oxford and the University of Bedfordshire.
