Jennifer Murray is a Lecturer for the department of Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and Events. Jennifer teaches in the field of marketing, covering all aspects of marketing and communications at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Jennifer is in the final stages of submitting her thesis entitled: "Integrated Marketing Communications and Social Media for UK Fashion Retail". Her research interests include digital marketing strategy, social media marketing and communications, and fashion consumer buying behaviour.

Previously, Jennifer worked in the fashion Industry in various commercial management roles. Returning to study in 2017, she obtained an MSc in Management (Marketing focused) from Robert Gordon University after which she was employed as a Business Consultant with a third sector support agency providing marketing and business strategy advice and guidance.

She was instrumental in the development of the Social Shifters university programme and was invited to judge the Student Innovation Competition in 2021. These experiences heavily inform Jennifer’s current teaching, where she focuses on guiding students to work to industry standards to fulfil live client briefs and weaving practical examples into her teaching materials.
