Dr Jackie Riley

Dr Jackie Riley is the Head of Department for Cyber Security and Networks in the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment.

She gained her first degree in Mathematical Sciences from Paisley college of Technology and went on to graduate with an MSc Operational Research from the University of Strathclyde and a PhD in Computer Simulation applied with A&E departments from GCU.

Jackie Joins GCU in 1993 as a lecturer in Mathematics Department and subsequently became the Associate Dean (International) in the Schools for Computing and Mathematics and then Assistant Head of Department of Computing (Networking and security) and became Head of the Department of Cyber Security and Networks in 2018

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has principle teaching  interest in simulation and information security management and governance.
