Dr Hannah Prince-Llewellyn is a Sport and Exercise Psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Hannah is a graduate of the Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Psychology (DPsych) programme at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), where she developed a strong foundation in applied psychological practice and research.
In May 2025, Dr Hannah joined the GCU staff as Lecturer in Applied Psychology, after working on several projects with the department in the previous years.
Hannah plays an active role in the delivery of applied psychology content, of both undergraduate and doctoral programmes. Her teaching supports students in developing both theoretical knowledge and applied skills relevant to the discipline.
Dr Hannah’s expertise and research interests span the field of psychology, including:
- Outdoor therapy, specifically walk and talk therapy
- Applied exercise psychology, including exercise dependency
- The role of self-compassion for wellbeing, and a sustained healthy relationship with exercise
- Mental health in sport and exercise (from community, to professional)
- Organisational approaches to supporting wellbeing
