Department of Biological and Biomedical SciencesFrances MacInnes is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BIO). With a background in business and computing, she has been working in BIO since 2003, designing modules in skills development, particularly focussing on information and digital literacy.
More recently, Frances’s work focusses on generative artificial intelligence, looking to shape how we explore, employ, and integrate AI within our learning and development. Frances holds leadership roles as the Department’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion, and is Vice-Chair of the University’s Senate Disciplinary Committee. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
