Katie is a lecturer in mental health nursing who teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate  programmes in the Department of Nursing and Community Health. Katie also leads the multi-disciplinary Masters dissertation module which comprises postgraduate students from programmes across the School of Health and Life Sciences.

Katie was awarded her PhD in 2020 with her thesis titled Co-researching with people living with dementia: A co-operative Inquiry at the University of Manchester. Her research interests include: dementia, older adult mental health and student/staff wellbeing.
